Duhallow ADS Cemetery, Belgium

 

On 26th April, 1915, the 2nd Dragoons of 5th Cavalry Brigade2nd Cavalry Division, moved to trenches neat Potijze in the Ypres salient. The Regimental diary recorded that on 27th April, the day on which Richard Godfrey was killed, that there was a certain amount of shelling of their trenches and that 100 men were detailed to dig trenches. It makes no mention of any casualties.
